On December 6-8, 2022, the Parliamentary Budget Office of Georgia conducted a training on Methodological guidelines for preparing the financial impact assessment of the draft law in frames of Open Parliament Action Plan, with engagement of Transparency International – Georgia and the support of the Training Center of the Parliament.
The training was conducted for representatives of employees of factions of the Parliament of Georgia, who are directly engaged in the process of preparation of the financial impact assessment of the explanatory note of the draft law. Participants had an opportunity to profoundly review the guideline document on preparation of financial impact assessment of the draft law.
During the training session, representatives of factions were working on practical cases on financial justification of explanatory notes of individual draft laws, they were actively discussing individual practical cases and were presenting the outcomes of their team effort. The indicated activities gave participants an opportunity to utilize theoretical knowledge gained throughout the training session into practice. They also had a chance to check their acquired knowledge via entertaining and pleasant online inquiries.
The training sessions were conducted by the Head of the Cost Estimates and Legislative Support Unit of the PBO, Shorena Kakhidze. Co-trainers were Juna Gersamia and Mariam Pipia from the same Unit.
